Bone Train for LD55 release - 1 hour later emergency at home
From my updates on the Ludum Dare Website:
Over past several weeks I finally got going with Godot. For this Ludum Dare I only had a single day to work solo on a project and so I made my little project Bone Train today over a period of about 8 hours. Not expecting huge results in the jam but happy that I can finally get something done on my own with Godot in such a short timeframe! 😅
Here’s the game for anyone interested: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/55/$390078
And then several hours later I posted:
My father had a terrible fall outside the house this evening. He was rushed into hospital after I spent close to forty minutes fighting with the ambulance service (they really wanted to argue with me) to get someone sent out to him, while my mother held him in a position he wouldn’t choke on his own blood. Praying he will be okay. My game is as done as it’s gonna be (I submitted it earlier before hell broke loose). Please be kind considering the circumstances that I won’t be able to fix/modify it till after jam is done.
My family will not know more about his situation until he has another brain scan tomorrow. Praying he will be back with us soon and okay. I know for sure he has a severely broken nose, damage to his mouth, one of his ears and arms. I'm considering opening a GoFundMe to support his medical expenses but I am not sure he would appreciate me begging for money.

Ouch, take care and hope his injuries are not that severe that they wouldn't be healed over time.
GoFundMe could be a thing if the insurances or public medical care aren't enough.
If that's the case, pop the link.
We're not well off enough for insurance costs in Ireland, I am hoping the medical card system will cover a lot of it but I know he likely needs a lot of dental surgery that it will not likely cover, which we will likely have to sell one of the family cars to cover. And that is providing he comes home with only those injuries and not bigger problems.
