Reworked this old project of mine (Thinking with wormholes).


New builds for web, linux/steamOS/macOS and Android. Full touch controls and gamepad support. Keyboard support also added to original mouse only control scheme. Some small miscellaneous fixes. 3 years to update it was a long time but happy with the game where it is now.

Thinking with Wormholes is a 2D, top down space arcade game. It is inspired by asteroids, but with a unique portal mechanic and a retro GameBoy inspired aesthetic.

The game is playable with mouse/keyboard/gamepad/touchscreen.

Mouse/Keyboard: RMB/WSAD to move, left click to create wormholes.

Gamepad: Left Stick/Left Trigger to move, Right Trigger to place wormholes.

Touch: Tap to move, double tap to create wormholes.

 Double Click/Double Tap/Gamepad Start Button to pass the tutorial and game over screen.

Create wormholes to teleport both your ship and asteroids through. You need to have both wormholes placed for things to travel through them. Placing wormholes alternates between the Dark/Light wormholes. 

Strategy: Staying mobile is a good tactic!. 

Also, very importantly, you regenerate health after traveling through a wormhole, but only up until you get hit. 

If you are low on health you can attempt to teleport, but bear in mind that there might be something to crash into on your destination, which will damage you and instantly stop your regeneration.
