A short (approx 5 min) visual novel prototype that I made as a challenge of making my first game with Godot and also experimenting with the awesome Dialogic extension.

Sound FX sourced from ZapSplat.

Music is all from my own back catalogue of released and unreleased compositions, these were all made with the DAW FL Studio in the past and a variety of VST plugins.


Use of AI: to be transparent with folks I will document where I used AI solutions and where I didn't. Even as an experienced solo developer who was new to Godot I doubt the credibility that an individual could create a project with as many elements as this in the same 24 hour time period. A co-ordinated team very much viable, but this was a complete solo project and experiment that I had no idea if was going to be possible or not.

2D backgrounds and character portraits: Generated with a local SDXL Lightning setup with custom trained model, though further editing and other graphics work was done with Affinity photo, an editing software.

Voiceovers:

Source files generated with ElevenLabs then run through a custom sound design/effects chain in Ableton Live 12.
