Controls: Arrows/WSAD/Mouse to emulate touch/Analogue stick and gamepad A/Touchscreen: You can use any of these, the game dynamically goes with whichever you choose.

This is a prototype demo (somewhat like a vertical slice) to gauge if people would like me to continue working on this project. Initially begun in January 2020, though there were lots of breaks, about 2 1/2 months of casual solo dev it took to create this (I created all assets, programming, animations, sound and music., other than using a Kenney font, and using some of his UI designs as a base.)

There are 6 Levels Currently including 2 unique Boss Levels. There is a level select system once you have unlocked levels.

The game is playable with touch controls, mouse, keyboard & gamepad though the ingame menu doesn't yet function with gamepad so you need the mouse for that.

There is an options menu where you can adjust master audio, music, graphics settings (disables a few FX and godrays on low, use low if performance isn't great, (please don't mess with this on mobile as I am not sure if it wil do bad stuff)) and a reset save function.

Demo created with Construct 3, Affinity Designer, Tilesetter, Creature2D, JuiceFX, Reason & Fl Studio.

Let me know if you encounter any bugs or issues!

Great colors and style, it does feel very Neon! I was little confused about the first boss battle, but I think I figured out what to do in the end, it was very forgiving. Interesting controls to get used to, left and right have so much momentum to them and up and down are like being shot out of a cannon! However, I think that's good, a new skill to learn.

Sometimes I was wondering if something would hurt or was part of the environment, not sure if that's intentional or not? The glowing boss was epic! Also of course, appreciate the use of godrays :)  Foreground objects add good ambience. I hope you continue work on it. Congrats on the initial release!

Thanks so much! I do hope to continue work on it, maybe not right away, as I have a few other mini project ideas but I would be doing the systems programming and all the asset creation a disservice in scrapping it at this point haha!

Thanks for your awesome plugins, I also think I used the LinearLight blend mode effect on this (or at least I was using it at one stage of development, wasn't that one of your plugins as well?)

I am quite proud of the control system, there is a lot of tech to it when you dig deep, and if you consider that it also functions across mobile as well as mouse, KB & gamepad I think it does quite well. It's a bit harder but  I have completed the entire demo on mobile too.

I honnestly wanted the game to be more of a player exploration and figuring out what to do, there's no complex controls, and in the same way, aside from listing controls on the itch page, there's no tutorials. Sometimes I think it's a shame for it to be like that, it just doesn't work for some people, I had feedback from reddit of someone saying they couldn't complete the first level.  But I much prefer games that let you learn by playing rather than an initial scripted experience.
